Pip Russell
"First life, then spaces, then buildings – the other way around never works."
Pip is an urban designer and has worked with two of Auckland’s bespoke landscape architectural practices and has been involved in creating Master Plans for residential subdivision and pop up container village, Urban Design Assessments and Reports, Planning Reviews, Spatial Plans, Feasibility Studies, developing Urban Design Guidelines and Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments. Over her life, Pip has had extensive experience with Māori whānau, arts and community and has a strong interest in iwi collaborative design processes and Mana Whenua engagement.
Prior to completing her Masters and returning to the urban planning and design profession, Pip spent 25 years running her own creative design businesses and is still actively involved in Auckland's local art scene.
