Claudia Boyo
"In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
Claudia is an award-winning landscape architect who has recently graduated from Victoria University. After graduating Claudia moved to Auckland and worked as the lead designer on the Kimi Ora School project. The design utilised Te Ao Māori concepts and narratives to influence natural playspaces that facilitate learning and play through the school grounds. The design included a large central playground with a range of naturalised play spaces around it which spoke about the different microclimates in the region and provided different physical challenges and learning opportunities relating to the school curriculum. Claudia enjoyed working closely with staff, students, the community and local iwi to produce a design that was of value to both the school, the wider community and the local environment. Claudia has a passion for design incorporating sustainability, cultural narratives and education opportunities.
