Gecko Trust

As one of its first strategic priorities the Waiheke Collective secured funding from the Waiheke Local Board to engage an external facilitator to work alongside the Collective to assist the group with forward momentum and establish the collective as a unifying structure for Waiheke ecological restoration groups. Resilio Studio teamed up with Gecko Trust to facilitate a process with the Collective to formalise their governance structure and processes as well as create solid foundations for the Collective to build from. Through a facilitated process led by Resilio Studio the Collective developed a vision, values and principles, a purpose statement, a charter, set up working groups, clarified its ongoing working relationship with its first flagship initiative Te Korowai o Waiheke, and ran community events and hui to increase awareness and participation in the Waiheke Collective.
