Urban Solutions

Resilio Studio worked with Urban Solutions to design the bridge over Omaru Creek. Resilio Studio lead the engagement process with Mana Whenua, identifying and framing opportunities for place based applications of Te Aranga Design Principles, developing artist briefs for iwi artist engagement, as well as preparing all written and graphic material for public web based consultation and open days. This bridge is located at the mouth of Omaru Creek and was identified by Mana Whenua representatives as one of the key opportunities for Mahi Toi in the landscape spaces either side of the bridge, the surface and along the balustrades. We worked closely with local artists to ensure that the bridge integrated the cultural narratives and tribal placemaking opportunities developed by the artists.
